Unfortunately, they are some of the unluckiest people in the star system. These are the stories of the adventurous (and misadventurous) lives of four struggling people and a dog.
Spike Spiegel is a bounty hunter in the far future with an easy going attitude and some deadly skill at martial arts. Together with his partners, Jet Black, and later Faye Valentinewell, they go from job to job across the galaxy looking for the high priced fugitives to bag.
a series that is so good it is just a shame that so few people will ever get to see it. its not the thing to get around loads of people and there are so many others that would refuse to watch it because: 'it's just a cartoon'.<br/><br/>well they are the unlucky ones. because this series is not only the best anime series that i have ever seen but it is the best series of any kind that i have ever seen. the characters, the dialogue, the awesome music, but most of all the writing. this is food for adults. for people that will be able, and willing, to empathise with what is in front of them.<br/><br/>and the end, my god the end. get a hold of this series. watch it. it really is that good.<br/><br/>"bang"
'Cowboy Bebop' is a 26 part anime series about the exploits of Spike Speigel, Jet Black, Faye Valentine, Radical Edward, and Ein the dog. Set in the year 2071, people live among the different planets on the solar system and travel quickly from one planet to another thanks to a interstellar gate system. Without spoiling too much, the main characters are bounty hunters aboard the spaceship aptly named Cowboy Bebop. They travel the solar system trying to capture criminals and bring them to the police for massive monetary rewards. As a show, CB blends smooth fast-paced animation, a first rate soundtrack, and high quality voice acting in Japanese and English. The 26 'sessions' don't all follow the same storyline, session #5, 'The Ballad of Fallen Angels' focuses on the main plot (Spike's past catching up to him) whereas 'Mushroom Samba' deviates from the plot, becoming an quasi-drug trip/blaxploitation film in itself while still involving the crew of the Bebop. All of the sessions are heavily influenced by musicevidence by such titles'Sympathy for the Devil' and 'Heavy Metal Queen'. The music in the show complements the animation and the story extremely well. Towards the end of the series, the show becomes very dramatic, but I won't spoil it too much. If you enjoy futuristic action, drama, and high quality music blended with fast and smooth animation, Cowboy Bebop is a must see.
